Crystals that are not extremely fragile can be placed under running water. You can also soak them in sea water or salt water if you do not have access to the ocean. While doing this, visualise the negativity washing away from the crystals, leaving them recharged and full of fresh, clear energy.
Another way the cleanse your crystals is to place them under moonlight for a few hours, you can even place them under the sun - ensuring your crystal is not one that can fade in sunlight.
Crystal clusters can be soaked in sea or rock salt overnight if you wish, ensuring that every bit of salt residue is carefully brushed off when you are finished cleansing to avoid damaging the crystal.
As discussed in our previous post about caring for your crystals HERE, we discussed how certain crystals can cleanse other crystals. A great tip for keeping a bag of crystals in your handbag is to keep a Carnelian stone in the bag with them. By doing this you will never have to cleanse the crystals because the Carnelian stone can self cleanse other crystals.
Another great tip is to place any small crystals on a clear quartz cluster overnight and the Quartz will also self cleanse the smaller crystal.
Other forms of cleaning crystals are to use the smudging method, which consists of passing the crystals through the light of a burning candle, while doing this you can visualise the crystals being surrounded by an aura of light purifying each crystal and recharging them with fresh, clear energy.
A big favourite of many, due to convenience, is to use a crystal cleansing spray which is readily available at most crystal stores. This method is very handy to use on extremely fragile crystals.
